Oxfam in Africa (OiA) strategy 2025 to 2030 - Design and layout
I am proud to have led the design of the Oxfam in Africa (OiA) Strategy 2025 - 2030. This continent-wide framework is based on the principle of Ubuntu, meaning 'I am because we are.' It encourages collaboration among Country Offices, Regional Clusters, and African Affiliates. The strategy is built on four main pillars:
Just economies
Accountable and inclusive governance
Climate justice
Gender justice
The strategy focuses on fair partnerships, feminist and decolonial approaches, and shifting power to marginalised communities. It includes feminism, digital rights, and power analysis throughout its work. The strategy supports community-led resilience, sustainable livelihoods, and local policy tools that fit national needs. It also deepens Oxfam’s work with African Union (AU) bodies to shape policy, improve fiscal systems, climate finance, gender equality, and inclusive governance. By 2030, the goal is to reduce inequality, open up civic space, and support strong, community-driven development across Africa.

I am deeply grateful to the incredible Oxfam in Africa team whose trust, insight, care, and collaboration made the work possible.
